Harvard Study: Simple Habits Add Extra Years to Your Life

Daily movement, good sleep, and stress control may extend lifespan by over 20 years.

Harvard researchers reviewed data from nearly 8,000 people and found that five everyday habits may extend life by more than two decades. Regular walking or exercise, meaningful social connections, quality sleep, a balanced diet, and stress reduction were linked to a 60% lower risk of early death. The study shows that aging is heavily influenced by daily choices, not just genetics, and healthy routines can protect cells, boost immunity, and improve longevity.
